Social Media.My Life.Affection [CR]
by Calvin Seng on Feb.27, 2009, under Media Culture
Here’s a good example showing what social media are all about. Thanks to Miss Helena for sharing this to the students.
Social media are something that’s fresh, new, yet influencing all of us deeply, every second-every minute, anywhere, at anytime, especially the youth.
Connectors that link everyone in every corner of this world together, dispite their race, religion, age, nationality and language, are social media.
With the born of social media, things that were impossible to be done could be done right now. Ever thinking of being someone famous throughout the world, as long as there’s internet connectivity supplied? Well, you might have to spend a huge sum of money, doing all the advertisemens, paying money to get yourself screen on the TV, and that was the only viable mean to make the world know you. However, with social media, you could be doing all I had stated just now for FREE, and being progressed in a quicker way instead.
Through a click-an upload-internet available, your image, your post, what you would like the world to know would be published on the internet, and anyone could see it, access it, at anywhere in this world.
Personally, social media has been my affection for quite some time now. I fall in love blogging after using it for first time in my life. Forum discussion is also a part of my life now. Sharing opininions, dropping comments, and giving positive critiques are interesting. You should try it out too.
Anonym of Boring [PR]
by Calvin Seng on Feb.23, 2009, under Media Culture
The media culture on 22nd of February, 2009 was not too bad after all. I was bored at first due to Mr. Radzi’s blur speach. He has a hell lot of hardwork on how to convey a message properly, from himself to the students, frankly speaking. As we know, a failure in communication would be deadly and would not make him a good teacher.
I always prefer Miss Helena’s teaching as she’s a more lively and active person compared to Mr. Radzi. FYI, Mr. Radzi is a “anaesthesia specialist”. Due to those features, Miss Helena’s lecture session was not as boring as Mr. Radzi’s and I actually paid my attention to her teaching.
Nevertheless, the last 2 short movie clips showed by Miss Helena previously were totally awesome and again, I was fascinated by the Western designers. They produce really good works and I am finding ways to learn from them.
